How He Loves Me

The 2019 Four12 Regional Equip Namibia completely rocked my world! I prayed for weeks before the equip that God would come and do something big in our (my family’s) lives, that He would give me a prophetic word through someone, and that He would give me a word of encouragement to give to others. I was ready to receive and to give! In my mind, I knew God loved me, but in my heart I couldn’t feel it, and I was stepping out by asking God to (in His kindness) meet me at my point of need and speak to me.

How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.’ (1 Corinthians 14:26)

A couple of days before the Equip, God already began speaking to me by showing me a picture of myself dancing with Him in a big yellow dress.

A couple of days before the Equip, God already began speaking to me by showing me a picture of myself dancing with Him in a big yellow dress. At the Equip, after one of our worship times, someone stood up and said he saw a tattoo of a red rose and had a word for that person. I raised my hand (as I knew it was for me) and he told me (I’m paraphrasing here) that God wanted me to know that He does love me!

After this, a few people prayed for me, and then another person came up to tell me that he saw a vision of me dragging two boulders. The one boulder was called identity and the other condemnation. They saw Jesus cutting me free from these chains. I’ve always struggled to be myself in the church, scared of doing something wrong or not being accepted. This would lead me into condemnation and to thinking that God could never love someone as flawed as me.

Then God gave someone else another word and picture for me. The word was about how God is not like our earthly father, because He loves us perfectly, and she could see Him stretching out His hand to me and asking me to dance with Him. It was amazing confirmation of the picture God had given me before the Equip (the yellow dress).

The last day of the equip, I felt God tell me to go on stage and actually dance with Him; to step out and into the picture He’d given me. It was by far the scariest thing I ever had to do (and I have skydived before!). I told God that if He would take the lead, I would go and do as He said. While dancing, I felt something break. Fear and condemnation left me completely and I felt the love of my Father completely overwhelming me.

When we ask, in faith and as His children, He answers us. Every time.

God answered all my prayers, and in the three days of the Equip, He changed the way I will walk (or more accurately, dance) with Him for eternity. Four12 Regional Equips are times of training and meeting together, but they’re also times where God speaks to each of us individually, just like He spoke to (and changed) me through being a part of the Equip!

I hope that for those reading this testimony who struggle to believe that God loves them, that they can share in my joy and be encouraged that God really does love us! He hears our prayers and He is faithful to speak to us, time and time again. When we ask, in faith and as His children, He answers us. Every time.
