For the third year, Familia Christi church in Queenstown, led by Velle and Lizette, invited all ladies from partnering churches in the Eastern Cape region to gather together for a weekend of creative workshops on hearing God’s voice, with a strong salvation message at its core, called ‘Deeply Rooted’. A team of saints and leaders from different Joshua Generation Church congregations joined to minister to them through their various giftings.
Many in the Eastern Cape are facing financial challenges and cannot attend the international Four12 Conferences, making these local times together vital to building relationships, strengthening bonds and walking together in unity.
Some of the ladies said that it felt like a mini revival.
Some of the ladies said that it felt like a mini revival. Around 35 ladies were filled with the Spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time, there were three salvations, three water baptisms, and a great number of recommitments. Many were healed, delivered, stepped out in faith, and walked in different gifts for the first time. Eyes were opened, faces changed, spirits refreshed.
One beautiful testimony was of a lady of 84 years of age who, when she was being prayed for to be baptised in the Holy Spirit, started praying in tongues and tears rolled down her face. She said she had waited so long, and when asked how long, she said she got saved when she was 17. She was baptised 12 years ago.
Hearts were forever changed because of Jesus.
“The Familia Christi ladies weekend without a doubt deepened my roots! I’ve been freed, transformed and equipped! And I can now fully walk by faith and serve others prophetically with the Holy Spirit within me.”
