Remember The Poor

“All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.”
Galatians 2:10 (NIV)
Remember The Poor

The Purpose

This Partners Relief Fund is set up to remember the poor among us and functions as a handup more than a handout, helping people become more selfsufficient so they are no longer dependent on the fund into the future. As such, the fund looks at providing aid to partners during times of crisis, essential support of basic needs to the vulnerable, building sustainable resources and developing partnering church leaders so that our churches can better reflect Jesus. Our assistance has four arms.

The Impact

“We want to say thank you for the Four12 relief fund. We were so blessed that we did not once have to explain to our children that we don’t have food. We are grateful for that. We also had many people who came to us because they know we are leaders and pastors and asked for food and things like that. There was not a single time that we had to send them away empty-handed, because we had food right from the beginning to bless others. Please keep doing this. Amen.”

Origins

Allocation of Funds

The Four12 Partners Relief Fund started with Malawi and Zimbabwe’s severe drought and cyclones in 2019, to provide crisis relief for Four12 partnering churches in those nations. The need for the fund extended when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and is now being used to remember the poor and vulnerable among us.

We recognise that there are significant economic challenges for Four12 partnering churches in some areas. Each case is submitted by our leaders and carefully considered, as we desire to provide financial support where poverty is a barrier to advancing the Gospel.

To date, the fund has given more than $220 000 to 6 nations: India, Fiji, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Uganda, and rural South Africa
