About the Four12 Partners Relief Fund

The Four12 Partners Relief Fund started with Malawi and Zimbabwe’s severe drought and cyclones in 2019 and aimed to provide crisis relief, primarily for Four12 partner churches in those nations. The need for the fund grew and extended into 2020/21 with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on other partnering churches in the nations.

We recognise there are significant economic challenges for Four12 partners in some areas. These needs can extend across the need for medical supplies and shelter to ensuring our partners can attend key equipping opportunities. This is not an exhaustive list of how the Fund can be used. Each case is submitted by our leaders and carefully considered, as we desire to provide financial support where poverty is a barrier to advancing the gospel.

Previous Allocation of Funds

The fund began in March 2019, where we were able to donate food, seed and farming materials to Malawi and Zimbabwe to the value of USD 20,053. In 2020, our partners donated USD 64,940. We were able to supply food, finances, clothing parcels and other necessities to around 155 families and the necessary PPE equipment to 25 churches across South Africa.

The raising of funds is ongoing. In 2021, an estimated USD 61,700 was raised and allocated to providing financial aid, food parcels and PPE, and assistance was given to over 33 churches in eight regions across South Africa, India, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Since the start of this initiative, we have received contributions from our partnering churches across the nations to the value of USD 177,442. Of this USD 116,306 has been distributed amongst over 40 churches in eight regions, with more requests being allocated each quarter.

It is important to note that the Relief Fund does not go towards operational costs, such as salaries, administration or venues.

Feedback by Those Impacted by Your Generosity

“We want to say thank you for partnering with us. Until now, we have assisted about 300 people: this includes 750 grocery and clothing hampers and financial assistance during lock-down. Twenty-six thousand meals went out. It is impossible for us to achieve this on our own. We have seen the value of church partnership and friendship. Therefore we are really grateful for every contribution that came from you, our partners, in order to fight hunger in our community. Behind all those numbers are grateful families that had food on their table during this crisis.”

“We want to say thank you for the Four12 relief program. We were so blessed that we did not once have to explain to our children that we don’t have food. We are grateful for that. We also had many people who came to us because they know we are leaders and pastors and asked for food and things like that. There was not a single time that we had to send them away empty-handed, because we had food right from the beginning to bless others. Please keep doing this. Amen.”
