02 Perseverance  

Rick Neufeld shares a powerful message on perseverance: it is not limited to a timeframe, and it is not just for our own benefit. Perseverance is a continued effort throughout our lives, and we do not base this on our own understanding of what God is doing, or how He is working. We, as individual saints, persevere for the benefit of the whole Body, for our relationship with one another, as we cannot experience the fullness of God on our own. We also persevere for our calling, as David did, always honouring toward those God placed in leadership over us. Rick further reminds us that we persevere for our leader’s calling too, as they are steering the ships of our congregation, recognising that it takes time to bring change – a large ship turns slowly. To experience all God has for us, we must persevere, and never give up.
