What is the purpose of the series?
This video series takes an in-depth look at each of the values mentioned in Acts 2:42-47 in seven episodes. The early church built their lives around these values, and God added to them. As a result, they are an example to us of how healthy churches should be built. Using God’s blueprint, we learn how to build church and live to glorify God.
Why Acts 2:42-47?
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:42-47 (NIV) *Own emphasis added
Acts 2:42-47 is one of the core values as churches built according to the New Testament pattern. We believe that only God can build His church, He is the Architect, and by following these principles life will flow in our churches and the lost will be saved.
