01 There Is a King
The gospel proclaims more than forgiveness and a place in heaven – it announces that Jesus, the long-awaited King, has come. Jesus is unlike any other king. He left the glory of heaven to pay the ultimate price for our salvation. But if the gospel is reduced to a personal saviour who fits our preferences, our lives remain unchanged – the true gospel calls us to live fully surrendered to Him. In this session, Lukas Nakos shows what it means to give up our own way, take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus wherever He leads. Grace does not earn salvation through our works – it produces a life of fruitful obedience.
Lukas is an elder in Joshua Generation Church. He is married to Annie and they have five children. Lukas is an entrepreneur who has run several successful businesses, but his greatest passion is to serve the Lord and His bride.
