06 Why Do Believers Not Evangelise?
Allan briefly outlines why many believers do not witness or evangelise:
- Fear of rejection
- Ignorance of the facts
- Apathy
Allan encourages Christians to seriously consider and follow the model of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. During His earthly ministry, Jesus saw that people had departed from God – they were depraved in their sin, in despair, and without a shepherd. Jesus wants us to go MAD for Him – ‘Make A Difference’. In doing so, we need to do the following:
- Visualise the harvest
- Agonise over those who do not know Christ
- Be motivated to evangelise!
Allan has been in ministry since 1974, sharing the Good News around the world, and is an elder in Oxygen Life Church. He is married to Elaine, and they have three children and eight ‘grandies’. He is passionate about preaching the Gospel to all nations and seeing the lost saved.
