09 The Hand Illustration
Allan illustrates another simple, yet understandable and effective, presentation of the Gospel – the hand.
Each finger represents a different aspect of the Gospel:
- Thumb – God’s grace
- Forefinger – each of us has sinned before God
- Middle finger – God has sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from the consequences of sin
- Fourth finger – God is a God of justice, and if we do not respond, then we fall under His judgement of eternal death
- Small finger – each of us needs to make a response of faith by trusting Jesus Christ and His salvation on the cross
