04 To Edify
Melanie du Toit continues to expand on the reasons for the prophetic. Throughout the Bible, we can see that prophecy has a clear function of edification – to build up other believers into the more that God has for them, strengthen them, and facilitate a sense of belonging. As part of this episode, Melanie gives a practical exercise to help us practice hearing God’s voice for others.
Melanie serves as a deacon in Joshua Generation Church, South Africa. She spent two years in the mission field after her studies and now works as an artist. She has a passion to use the gifts of the Spirit to train and encourage God’s people.
