Melanie du Toit touches on the practical prophetic exercise she gave in the previous episode and the lessons that can be taken from it. Furthermore, she continues to expand on the reasons for the prophetic. Melanie explains that an important function of the prophetic is to bring exhortation that ignites courage through the Holy Spirit. While exhortation involves cheering someone on, it can also involve correction. Melanie provides greater context as to how to approach this.
Melanie serves as a deacon in Joshua Generation Church, South Africa. She spent two years in the mission field after her studies and now works as an artist. She has a passion to use the gifts of the Spirit to train and encourage God’s people.
