Worship is a key battlefield, because it is where God’s Kingdom comes to earth and He inhabits His people. Unfortunately, so much of our modern-day worship is corrupted and has become more about us than God. The Bible warns us that in the last days self-love will increase (2 Timothy 3:1), and we see this when worship becomes more about entertainment than an encounter with God. Looking at the story of the woman at the well (John 4), Euan explains why and how we are to worship. We worship because we are commanded to, but ultimately because worship helps us to see God for who He is. Referencing the different words for “praise” and “worship” in the Bible, Euan explains that worship is a physical expression of what is happening inside our hearts. Worshipping God with our bodies is not a matter of preference or style, but rather how God wants us to worship.
