Our Authority in Christ

In May 2023, the first ever Four12 School of the Supernatural took place at Living Hope Community Church on the Isle of Man. The School was attended by 178 people from Four12 partnering churches across the nations, including South Africa, England, Ireland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the Isle of Man itself.

It was a time filled with the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit, where saints – both through teaching of the Word and practical activation – were trained and equipped to speak God’s supernatural words and to do His supernatural works.

Many people were ministered to powerfully by the Holy Spirit, set free of demonic strongholds, and healed of physical conditions and areas of brokenness in their lives. Many stepped out in words of knowledge and prophesied for the first time, and others received the gift of tongues and even trusted God for public tongues and interpretation. This is the Body of Christ being activated to be Jesus’ voice, hands and feet on the earth!

We serve a supernatural God who wants to put His “super” on our “natural” to demonstrate His power and His love – will you say “yes” to Him?

I arrived at the School of the Supernatural with great expectation in my heart. The one thing I learned over this week is that God doesn’t always do what I expect but what He needs to do. He was such a gentleman and took me from where I was struggling, brought conviction and then showed me how to walk it out. But not only that – by the end of the week, He had affirmed and restored me from feeling like I don’t fit in and that nothing I have to offer is good enough, ministering with His gentle heart. I am so grateful that He took the time to personally meet with me and bring so many shifts and corrections in such a gentle manner. And on top of that, after suffering from insomnia for the last 10 years, I have been healed and I now sleep peacefully. Our God is great and He does so much more than we can hope for!

My daughter and I received supernatural breakthrough at the School of the Supernatural. The Lord revealed His might by healing us of deep emotional traumas and also broke generational curses. He poured out His unfailing love on us, removed the scales from our eyes and now we can walk in freedom. Thank you, King Jesus!

As someone who has grown up in church, I got to the point where I started wondering why I didn’t see the things we read about in the book of Acts or the signs that Jesus said would follow those who believe. Four years ago, God moved my family and I to the UK. It was not in our plans, but His plans are far greater! About two years ago, the Holy Spirit prompted me to pray that I would “see the things that are unseen”, and that is exactly what God has been doing for me since then.

At the School of the Supernatural, I felt the presence and power of God like I have never experienced it before! Something broke off me during that weekend and I have greater joy, boldness and passion for God’s Kingdom and to see the gifts of the Spirit operate in my life and in the Body of Christ.

We are called to live a supernatural life, let’s live it!

I loved the School of the Supernatural. God’s presence was overwhelming. He showed how natural the supernatural should be for all of us who follow (supernatural) Jesus. The most impactful time for me was weeping over lost ones and over our nations. God showed me how often I harden my heart to protect myself, instead of letting Him break my heart for what breaks His. I returned home with increased faith to keep on praying and fasting, and to step out in boldness to build His kingdom in His supernatural way.

The School of the Supernatural was a real breakthrough in my journey of faith with the Lord. Before the School, I was given a word that I would receive the gift of tongues, which is something I have prayed for since I was saved nearly 3 years ago. Naturally, when I heard that there would be a workshop on tongues, I signed up for it straight away.

That afternoon, we had a time of practical deliverance, but I had a blockage that was stopping me from asking for help. On the way home, I felt under heavy attack from the enemy, so as I sat in a supermarket car park, I messaged my life group for prayer and as I was about to step into the supermarket, I had the worst ever coughing fit as something left me. It was a little embarrassing as there were a lot of people (it was a Friday evening) watching me. When I got back to the car, I saw all the prayer messages that had come through at the time the coughing fit occurred, showing me that the power of our prayers can even bring deliverance via WhatsApp! There was also a private message which included a word for me that read, “The Lord wants you to step out in faith and just open your mouth to fight the enemy, and He is going to fill it with His words”. When I read this, I immediately started to speak and pray in tongues – just a little at first, but more and more each day. It was as if something had broken wide open in my faith and opened a whole new level with the Lord – and this is just a new start in the journey. This was just the start of the weekend and it then led on to healing, speaking words of knowledge over others and having words spoken over me, and my first interpretation of a public tongue.

I have been filled with a need to worship, pray, read the Bible and surround myself with God, as well as a desire to step out for the Lord to help others in their journey and to find faith in the Lord, for if we step out in faith, the Lord will step out with us. Praise the Lord!

The School of the Supernatural was amazing and so filled with the Holy Spirit. I gained a lot of freedom in terms of pride and fear of man, but I had to take the step to ask for that – to allow people to help me and the Holy Spirit to work in me. Seeing people being healed and delivered around me instilled a fresh, healthy fear of the Lord in me. A healthy fear of the Lord makes a humble heart. I left the conference feeling super encouraged and refreshed in the Lord. We are ALL called to walk in the gifts of the Spirit. It was amazing to see how quickly I felt part of the family in the Isle of Man, which is only possible through the common foundation of Jesus.

What stood out for me during the School of the Supernatural was God’s invitation to us to know His heart and to partner with Him in a deeper, riskier way. It was so encouraging to be reminded of, and experience, that He has given us, His children, the authority to bring His Kingdom on earth. He just needs our ‘yes’!

I was so blessed by our time in the Isle of Man. It was wonderful to connect with old friends, make new friends and to realise that we are united in Christ in the nations. I personally received a renewed revelation of the supernatural power of the Gospel, which has greatly encouraged me. The Gospel truly has the power to transform us, bringing us from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light, so that we can walk in freedom and see others do the same.

One of the most impactful phrases for me was, “Why are you still here?” We have a purpose while we are still here on earth – to preach the Gospel! All for His glory!

The School of the Supernatural was an incredible time. I was inspired, equipped and challenged. One of the highlights was ministering to other people: seeing Christ set a person free and witnessing their transformation from being tormented to finding freedom. The supernatural manifesting in the physical – visible, audible, tangible.

“Where there is a clash of kingdoms, there is noise, lightning, action”. We witnessed that!

I loved how the Lord confirmed the authority we have in Christ and how He built my faith – not in the gift, the authority or the prayers, but in Him. “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). And this week that knowledge became a deep revelation. It is all done in faith – praying for healing, speaking in tongues, giving a prophetic word, casting out demons. We will never get good at this, or confident in it,  because it is an act of faith. We are in full dependence on and submission to God.

I came home with a renewed love for God and for the Bride, and with an expectation in my heart that there will be many more adventures with Him and in Him!

I am excited about “living beyond the lid”!

I marvel at the wonderful time we have had in the presence of the Lord! It is so beautiful to see what God’s presence works out in people’s lives – conviction of sin, darkness exposed and expelled, brokenness healed, joy overflowing, and so much more.

And it was so amazing to see Jesus’ Bride working together in the supernatural! One received a word of knowledge and another faith, only to see a sister go home without her wheelchair.

The School of the Supernatural brought me awareness, education, unity, freedom and deliverance.

Every saint should know this because we are all supernaturally, wonderfully made. The supernatural is not for just a few. The battle is real, a fight for the believer’s soul. I have been fired up to set captives free. I really want to limit the powers of hell and let God’s Spirit break out through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

There is something very powerful about simple obedience as an act of faith. We had some big obstacles in getting to the Isle of Man, but Andrea and I knew we had to be at the School of the Supernatural, and God made it possible. We felt our hearts immediately knit together with those of saints from all over the world, with an unwavering desire to know the person of the Holy Spirit and how He works in our lives. The School was a tangible, powerful reminder that the Holy Spirit is still very much at work in the Bride of Christ. The equipping ranged from sound Biblical teaching to practical workshops, and then the raw demonstration of the power and wonder of the Holy Spirit. It is a beautiful thing to see the presence of God interrupting lives to bring about freedom, deliverance, impartation and the empowering of the saints. We left the School with an even deeper devotion and desire to seek the Lord for what He has in store for Crowded House Church through the supernatural.

Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Coming from a very conservative background, anything relating to the supernatural had always felt foreign and uncomfortable, and I ran away from anything that I deemed “out of the ordinary”. Earlier this year, something stirred within me for the Isle of Man when it had never been on my bucket list, which in itself said something. I am profoundly grateful to God for opening up all the doors for me to attend the School of the Supernatural. One of the greatest breakthroughs in my life this weekend was the breaking of chains that have been holding me back – not believing I am worthy or good enough to be used by Jesus. But I had the realisation, deep within my spirit, that I had no right to speak lies over myself when Jesus sees me as worthy and good enough. The second breakthrough for me came during the deliverance session, where I saw what would not be considered “normal reactions” by a human being (yelling, fainting etc), but seeing the freedom that Jesus brought through the work of the Holy Spirit and in people being willing to serve and fight with Him. Jesus amazed me, and the girl who previously wanted to run away now suddenly wants to run towards the fight and fight with Jesus. I have a hunger for more of Him and to be used by Him in any way He wants.
