A Hidden Key to Freedom
How do we truly break free from sin, shame, and bondage? In this message, Andrew Selley teaches on God’s desire to bring His people into complete freedom and healing – restoring us to His image to reflect Him more clearly to the world.
Andrew unpacks how sin works in the human heart, appearing attractive because it often offers immediate reward but ultimately corrupts, hardens, distorts, and destroys. It can be difficult to break free when there is trauma, bondage, or sin we do not want to give up. But God wants us free from everything that holds us captive. Scripture warns us that remaining in sin can harden our conscience and cause us to move away from God.
But God loves us and calls us back to wholeness through confession and repentance. This journey is not walked out alone, but in God’s family, as we confess sin and pray for one another. When we hide our sin out of shame and fear of rejection, it keeps us in bondage. But when we walk in the light, as He is in the light, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.
Through repentance, confession, accountability, prayer, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit, God brings freedom, restoration, and healing.
This message includes personal testimony and confession of private struggles and sin – calling us to take sin seriously, run to God for mercy, and allow Him to make us new so that we may grow into the image of Jesus.
