In every family, children must be taught good values, and this will include times of discipline. When this is done well, and in love, it is a secure place for the children. Just so, there must be discipline exercised in God’s household, as the Bible tells us that what one believer does, affects the rest of the Body. The goal of church discipline is always restoration.
