Moses asks the Lord in Exodus 33:12-15 to “let me know your ways so I may understand you more fully and continue to enjoy your favor.” Moses was determined to lead God’s people only if God’s presence was with them. In this message to leaders in the Southern Cape, Hannes van den Heever reminds us that we must cultivate a genuine fear to build church according to God’s ways—He remains the architect. This task is not just for leaders but for every saint, as the Word tells us that “Each one of you should build with care.” (1 Corinthians 3:10) Hannes further encourages us to continue to stand against and tear down anything in our churches that is not biblical, as we continue our mission to build churches that reflect Christ and His ways.

Hannes van den Heever

Hannes is an elder in Joshua Generation Church, South Africa. He has been married to Mariska since 2017, and they have two children. Hannes has a degree in theology and has been in full-time ministry since 2015. He is passionate about worship and seeing God’s people walk in all that He has for them.
