02 Hurt, but Not Offended
Hurt is inevitable when people follow Jesus together, but being offended is a choice. Jesus warns in Luke 17 that offenses will come, yet He also shows us how to remain free when rejection, betrayal, and injustice wound us. In this session, Andrew Selley explains how unprocessed pain becomes bitterness, division, and a foothold for the enemy, while the Holy Spirit produces love, peace, patience, and grace. We must learn to recognise when offense has taken root, resist the urge to keep a record of wrongs, overlook mistakes, and always forgive. Following Christ means entrusting justice to God and refusing to let another person’s actions define your heart or destroy your community.
